Cinea is a small studio that reads film, then maps it onto sensors.
We work out of an apartment in Amsterdam, with a darkroom around the corner. Every profile gets built by hand, from real film we shoot and have scanned at a lab in the city.
The starting point is an exposed roll, developed and scanned at Fotolab Amsterdam. We read that scan as a reference and match each profile to it, so the look comes from the real film instead of a ''guessed'' preset.
From the scan we shoot a matched ColorChecker on the same camera, the same light, the same exposure. The pair becomes a DCP camera profile in Lumariver. The profile is then refined by hand against twenty additional frames from the same roll until skin, sky, white wall and shadow all sit where they did on film.
The result is a file that loads in Lightroom and Capture One the same way Adobe Standard or Camera Faithful does. It does not move sliders. It changes how the RAW is rendered, and your edits go on top.
